More women are choosing a career in hospitality

Over the last few years there has been a noticeable increase in the number of female chefs who are entering the industry. This news is very welcome and whilst there is no single reason, better pay and working conditions are likely factors.
Hospitality has traditionally been seen as a male dominated industry, with chefs in particular reinforcing this stereotype. Women are regarded as excellent problems solvers and it could be argued that they work better under pressure that their male counterparts!
Whatever you believe, this news is very welcome and we will always encourage more women to join us and strengthen our already diverse team.
