I began my career as a commis chef in a leeds hotel back in 1984. After working my way up to head chef level, I became a freelance chef which took me on my travels around the uk and even as far as Australia. Back home, I furthered my experience with stints at Cliveden and the Gleneagles Hotel. Looking for a new challenge, I then embarked on working at sporting venues that included some prestigious events such as Royal Ascot and the Grand National.
After 20 years of freelance work, I decided the time was right to set up a recruitment agency dedicated to supplying chefs to the hospitality sector and Chefs Direct was born.
Drawing on my background, I am in a unique position to meet our clients’ needs.
